Open the Official TOEIC Japan Website.
In the first step, open the official TOEIC Japan website. On this website, you will see options for different types of TOEIC exams. From the menu, select the TOEIC L&R Test (Listening & Reading), which is the most popular and widely accepted exam.
The TOEIC L&R test is approximately two hours long and includes both Listening and Reading sections. This exam measures practical English communication skills and is accepted by companies worldwide.
On the website, you can find important information such as exam dates, times, locations, and other details. This guide will walk you through the entire application process step by step.
Click on “申込する / Apply”.
On the main page of the website, you will see a button labeled “Apply” or “申込する” (Moushikomi suru). This button is usually located at the top of the website or in the main menu. Clicking this button will take you to the exam application form page..
This step is very important because it is where the application process begins. If you have not created an account on this website before, you will need to create a new account.
यThis entire process is completed online, allowing you to apply from home at your convenience. There is no need to visit any office or submit physical documents.
Login / Create a New Account
If you already have an account on the TOEIC website, you can simply log in. If you do not have an account, you will need to create a new one. To create a new account, click on “New Account Registration” or “新規会員登録” (Shinki kaiin tōroku).
When creating a new account, you will need to provide the following information:
- Email Address:Enter an active email address that you use regularly. This email address will be used to send you a confirmation code and other important information.
- Password: Create a strong and secure password. The password must be at least 8 characters long and should include numbers and special characters.
After creating the account, you must check the “I agree to the terms and conditions” checkbox. By doing so, you are agreeing to all the rules and conditions of TOEIC.

- ✅ Please use both capital letters (A-Z) and small letters (a-z).

Enter the code from your email on the website. The code is usually 6 digits long. If you do not receive the code, please check that your email address is correct and also look in your spam folder.
Fill in Personal Information
After successfully creating an account, you will see a page to fill in your personal information. This step is extremely important because the information filled here will be included in your Admit Card and at the examination center. Therefore, it is crucial to enter all information accurately and clearly.
The following information must be filled in:
- Name: Name: Fill in your name exactly as it appears on your passport or Zairyu Card. If the name is incorrect, it may cause problems on the exam day.
- Date of Birth: Date of Birth: Enter your correct date of birth. This information should match what is written on your identification document.
- Postal Code: Postal Code: Enter the postal code of your current residence. In Japan, postal codes are 7 digits long.
- Full Address: Full Address: Enter your full address in Japanese or English. This should be the address where your Admit Card will be sent.
- Country: Country: Select your country according to your place of birth or nationality. If you are Nepali, choose Nepal.
- Mother Language: Mother Language: Select your mother tongue. If your mother tongue is Nepali, choose Nepali.
- Phone Number: Phone Number: Enter your Japanese phone number. This number is required to receive important exam-related information.
Select Exam Date & Time
In this step, you need to select the date and time you wish to take the exam. TOEIC exams are held on various dates throughout the year. You can choose any date according to your convenience.
The exam is conducted in two time slots:
- 午前 (AM) & 午後 (PM)
You can choose any time according to your convenience. If you can wake up early in the morning, select the AM slot. If you prefer taking the exam in the afternoon, select the PM slot.
After selecting the exam date, you need to click the "Apply for the test" or "試験に申し込む" button.After pressing this button, your application will proceed, and you will be taken to the page to select the exam location.
Exam Location & ID Check
The Admit Card alone is not sufficient for taking the exam. You must bring a valid photo ID along with your Admit Card.
Zairyu Card (在留カード) This is mandatory to bring. If you do not have a Zairyu Card, your passport will also be accepted. However, the Zairyu Card is the best option.
If you go to the exam center without an ID, you will not be allowed to take the exam, and your payment will not be refunded.
In this step, you need to select the location where you wish to take the exam. Exam centers are located in various cities in Japan. You can choose any exam center according to your residence or convenience.
After selecting the exam center, re-enter your full address, mobile number, and email ID. This information must be accurate as your Admit Card will be sent to this address.
Select Payment Method
Now you need to pay the exam fee. The TOEIC exam fee is usually 7,810 yen (this amount may change). There are three options for payment:
- Credit Card (VISA / Master): If you have a credit card, you can easily pay using it. This is the fastest method, and the payment is processed immediately.
- Convenience Store (Seven-Eleven, Lawson, Family Mart): If you do not have a credit card, you can pay at a nearby convenience store. This method is very easy and secure.
- Online Banking / Pay-easy: If you have a Japanese bank account, you can pay via online banking or Pay-easy.
Paying at a convenience store is the easiest and most secure method. If you wish to pay at a convenience store, select this option.
Confirmation & Payment Process
After selecting the payment method, you will see a confirmation page displaying all your information. Please check this information once again to ensure everything is correct. If there is any mistake, you can click the "Back" button to go back and make corrections.
Once you have ensured that everything is correct, click the "Confirm" or "確認" button. After this, you will receive a confirmation email.
If you have chosen to pay at a convenience store, you will receive a confirmation email. That email will contain a link. By clicking on that link, you can open the payment page.
This page will display your payment information. Take a screenshot and keep it safe. Then, go to a nearby 7-Eleven, Lawson, or Family Mart, and show this page at the counter (register). The staff at the counter will process your payment.
Extremely Important: You must complete the payment within the specified deadline. If you fail to pay within the time, your incomplete application may be automatically canceled, and your payment will not be refunded.
After applying, you must complete the payment within the specified time using the link sent via email. If the payment is not made within the deadline, the application may be automatically canceled.
After making the payment, you will receive a confirmation email again. This email will indicate that your payment has been successfully processed. After this, your application will be completely completed.
